For our Easter celebration we invited Auntie Robyn and Uncle Pete over to try Mama’s homemade green eggs and ham! I think they look rather toxic!

I asked Mama why the ham wasn’t green too, but all she said was “because”.

She has a tendency to do that sometimes…answer, but not really answer my questions.

Now…which color should I do first and exactly how long does it need to be in there to be the shade I want?

Okay, here we come, Michigan!

Have I ever mentioned how thankful I am for Gladstone, MI? It seems like it’s in the middle of nowhere U.P. Michigan, but it doesn’t matter.

It has the best park and I am always so thankful to have a chance to get out and run like the wind.

Daytime soon turned into evening as we finally approached the Mackinac Bridge. What a beautiful sky!

While we were stopped for the photo-op we decided to give Grandma Lily a call…

I had to talk too of course!

We arrived just in time to see the deer searching for a bedtime snack in Grandma Lily and Grandpa Bill’s backyard…

and of course the rest of the beautiful sky and sunset from the kitchen window.

The next day mama and I headed down to the waterfront area to play at the park. On our way we saw our first live muskrat ever!

Did I mention it was cold while we were in Michigan?

They even still had ice in several places…like here, near the shore of Lake Michigan.

While we were in Michigan I was able to play hide and seek with some of my cousins.

I think a 5 year old fits under the furniture a little better than a 13 year old!

We had a wonderful time visiting with everyone in Michigan…and were so surprised to find another beautiful sunset waiting for us in Madison…

What a way to end a wonderful trip! I hope everyone had a good weekend. Thank you to Grandma Lily, Grandpa Bill and Great-Grandma Mary for all of the stories, hugs & kiss and goodies of course! See you all next week!

So, what do you get when you put 12 pre-k to 1st grade kid rockstars in one family room? PANDEMONIUM!!! YES!!

Everybody got to create their own guitar stickers in the dining room…

and take a turn center stage in our dance circle…check out Kyle with the hip-hop moves!

I (well, I mean Adam) rocked the house with Eye of the Tiger on Guitar Hero…

and we all took a turn visiting the music room and trying out the different instruments…

And then it was time for candles…and a wish!

It was sad…but after 2 hours it was almost time for everyone to go. (Hmm…why are lined up here like a firing squad??) Oh, it’s a guitar PINATA!!! YEAH!!!

It only took up to the 7th one for the perfect hit. Yep, look closely! Aidan has knocked it from the rope! What an awesome party!!! Thank you to everyone who came and played with me at the party. Have a great Tuesday…and until next time!
