To Minnesota and Back…

pic 1
I have my Star Wars Clone Wars Adventure books (from the library)…that’s all I need. Look out Minnesota…here we come!

pic 1
Well, first we have to make our stop at the Chocolate Factory. Mama said it’s a good thing the Chocolate Factory is an hour away, but I’m not sure why that’s good?

We also stopped for lunch at a small town Pizza Hut. We were the only people in the entire restaurant…even at 11:45am! It was crazy. But we were lucky that we had a really outgoing waitress as she knew about this really cool yellow park. It was really fun, but the tunnel slides made my hair really static-eeeeee!

Here’s the bridge from Superior to Duluth! We’re finally crossing over into Minnesota!!! I’ve been asking for 6 hours when we’re going to actually be in Minnesota.

Lake Superior is so pretty…maybe I’ll go for a swim. I think I’ll check the water temp just in case…

pic 1
Oooh–wheee! That’s COLD!!! I’m not getting in that water this month for sure!

Check out this boat we watched come in to the harbor. It was called the Atlantic Huron.

We did all kinds of fun things while we were in Duluth. We even went back to visit the train museum that I really liked last year. P.S. I’m hiding in this picture…can you find me?

pic 1
We also went back the Great Lakes Aquarium. This time I pushed the boats all by myself.

pic 1
We also saw a few new things. Yes, I am standing in a hole in the road. And yes, I am in Duluth! I think the road crews are just a little bit behind…how ’bout you?

Grandpa Sam has a pet chipmunk that lives in his backyard. He calls him “Chippy”. Can you believe he eats directly out of Grandpa Sam’s hand?

Grandma Kathy and I re-potted her indoor plants as they were getting to big for the current ones. This was really fun, but I had to ask for gloves because I did not want to get my fingers dirty.

pic 1
We also went back to the Duluth Children’s Museum. They had completely new exhibits…and one of them included knights and castle things. I wore this crown and robe almost the whole time we were there.

pic 1
I even got to sit on my very own thrown!

There was also this really cool electronic game…and if you answered all of the questions correctly you awoke the sleeping dragon. The first time it sort of freaked me out, but the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th…. well, after that first time I was hooked.

This visit we also checked out the (fairly) new Hartley Nature Center. It was awesome. There was a toddler program the day we were there and the teachers read books, then gave us materials for an art project (the telescope in my hand) and then took us on a small nature hike outside.

They even showed us this outside fort that they had been building. It was awesome!

*Sigh* Check out this view. I’m not sure I’m ready to go home yet! All in all we had a wonderful trip. Thank you to Grandpa Sam and Grandma Kathy for letting us add our chaos to your chaos. I hope everyone has a great week!

    Hi,
It looks like you had a really busy week. I think i might have been scared by that dragon too. I think it is going to be too quiet when you get home. Nolan, you can help your mama plant the big pots on the porch. Mama where is the pix disc you promised me?
    ILYM

Great trip! Very dangerous. Big locomotives and potholes and chipmunks and inflated/deflated dinosaurs and strange wooden teepees and chocolate.

Can’t wait to see the pics of Austin.

    P.S. What/who is in Austin?
