To Minnesota and Back…

pic 1
I have my Star Wars Clone Wars Adventure books (from the library)…that’s all I need. Look out Minnesota…here we come!

pic 1
Well, first we have to make our stop at the Chocolate Factory. Mama said it’s a good thing the Chocolate Factory is an hour away, but I’m not sure why that’s good?

pic 1
We also stopped for lunch at a small town Pizza Hut. We were the only people in the entire restaurant…even at 11:45am! It was crazy. But we were lucky that we had a really outgoing waitress as she knew about this really cool yellow park. It was really fun, but the tunnel slides made my hair really static-eeeeee!

pic 1
Here’s the bridge from Superior to Duluth! We’re finally crossing over into Minnesota!!! I’ve been asking for 6 hours when we’re going to actually be in Minnesota.

pic 1
Lake Superior is so pretty…maybe I’ll go for a swim. I think I’ll check the water temp just in case…

pic 1
Oooh–wheee! That’s COLD!!! I’m not getting in that water this month for sure!

pic 1
Check out this boat we watched come in to the harbor. It was called the Atlantic Huron.

pic 1
We did all kinds of fun things while we were in Duluth. We even went back to visit the train museum that I really liked last year. P.S. I’m hiding in this picture…can you find me?

pic 1
We also went back the Great Lakes Aquarium. This time I pushed the boats all by myself.

pic 1
We also saw a few new things. Yes, I am standing in a hole in the road. And yes, I am in Duluth! I think the road crews are just a little bit behind…how ’bout you?

pic 1
Grandpa Sam has a pet chipmunk that lives in his backyard. He calls him “Chippy”. Can you believe he eats directly out of Grandpa Sam’s hand?

pic 1
Grandma Kathy and I re-potted her indoor plants as they were getting to big for the current ones. This was really fun, but I had to ask for gloves because I did not want to get my fingers dirty.

pic 1
We also went back to the Duluth Children’s Museum. They had completely new exhibits…and one of them included knights and castle things. I wore this crown and robe almost the whole time we were there.

pic 1
I even got to sit on my very own thrown!

pic 1
pic 1
There was also this really cool electronic game…and if you answered all of the questions correctly you awoke the sleeping dragon. The first time it sort of freaked me out, but the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th…. well, after that first time I was hooked.

pic 1
This visit we also checked out the (fairly) new Hartley Nature Center. It was awesome. There was a toddler program the day we were there and the teachers read books, then gave us materials for an art project (the telescope in my hand) and then took us on a small nature hike outside.

pic 1
They even showed us this outside fort that they had been building. It was awesome!

pic 1
*Sigh* Check out this view. I’m not sure I’m ready to go home yet! All in all we had a wonderful trip. Thank you to Grandpa Sam and Grandma Kathy for letting us add our chaos to your chaos. I hope everyone has a great week!

Eggxellent Bowling and Easter Bonanza!

pic 1
Mama had a special belated birthday bowling girl’s night out…I was pretty bummed that I wasn’t able to go. I even told her I was going to have a big kid bowling day with no Mama’s someday!

pic 1
She had a wonderful time…including the birthday cake retreat in the mini-van (w/lit candles!!). For those of you who are great bowlers…you may want to skip the next several pictures!

pic 1
Oh so close to that strike!!

pic 1
Robyn had her stride going…check out that form!

pic 1
And Katie…well, what can I say…she was glowing!

pic 1
Not bad overall for people who bowl once every 3 to 5 years!!! Mama said to tell the other ladies thank you for great night…

pic 1
Allright…now on to the really good stuff. I can’t wait to go find some eggs!!

pic 1
pic 1
pic 1
And maybe even start a new hat trend! (Yes, that is Aidan & Zachary under those glasses and baskets in the middle and Hayden too!)

pic 1
I think Jackson had a few ideas of his own! (Aidan & Zachary’s younger brother.)

pic 1
We even got to say hello to the Easter Bunny…

pic 1
and eat my first donut ever! YUM!

pic 1
We’re waiting for the whistle…

pic 1
Let’s go!

pic 1
pic 1
Afterwards we gave each other congratulatory kisses…

pic 1
and hit the park! Are you walking in circles yet???

pic 1
Even Mama and I snuck in a cute celebratory shot…

pic 1
Afterwards we had ate a tasty lunch at a new place…it was delicioso!

pic 1
And, to complete my week, the Easter bunny visited my house and left me a few treat filled eggs to add to my stash, but first I had to find them all…

pic 1
Look! Another one! Hopefully I’ll find them all before next week or the next post might be rather boring. I hope everyone had a great Easter/Passover/Weekend…and we’ll see you next week!

May The Eggs Be With You!

pic 1
Aren’t the lemur’s so pretty? They recently got a new play structure at our zoo…and now Mama can take a better picture!

pic 1
We finally took Papa to the zoo…to see our new tiger. Check out that dark figure! And to think some of the kids in there were saying “here kitty kitty, here kitty kitty”!!!

pic 1
I think this is the only way I want to encounter a large cat!

pic 1
…still a Wisconsin boy!

pic 1
I think a leopard escaped from the zoo…

pic 1
oh wait, I don’t think we have leopards!

pic 1
I’m not sure what all leopards can do, but I DO know that the play electric guitar…

pic 1
and run really fast!!!

pic 1
Are you lookin’ at me?

pic 1
Yep…it’s that time of year again!

pic 1
It’s time to dye Easter eggs!

pic 1
Even Mama helped out this year…

pic 1
Check out our rainbow collection. (p.s. The blue one I dropped, which caused it to crack, but that was soooo cool because now it looks like a spider web egg!)

pic 1
Once the dye dried we were able to add the REAL decorations…watch out…here comes Darth Vader!!

pic 1
As well as the rest of the crew! We hope everyone has a great week…and don’t forget to check back for more Easter pics next week. P.S. There should also be some really funny pics of Mama having “too much fun” during a bowling girls’ night. Until we meet again…
