I See Red People

pic 1

Mama and Papa’s view.

pic 1

My view!

pic 1
Mama and Papa took me downtown this weekend to see the Bucky Badger band play before our season opener football game.

pic 1
It was awesome!!!

pic 1
This is me having a great time inside one of UW’s unions and just before Mama and Papa told me that the Babcock ice cream place closed—–before we got a chance to order!

pic 1
I also got to see my good friends, Aidan and Zachary Blotz. They came over to play along with their little brother, Jackson. They are really big boys and will be starting Kindergarten this week.

pic 1
We had a great time playing with all of my toys!

pic 1
This is me and Julia and a bright red tunnel. Julia is girl who lives in our neighborhood and ever since she wrote me a love letter…I’ve had a slight crush on her.

pic 1
I think we have a great relationship. She put this red tunnel on top of me and then looked inside to see how I was doing.

pic 1
So, of course I then had to do the same.

pic 1
The sequel to Romeo and Juliet I am sure!

pic 1
The park just isn’t the same without Julia!

pic 1
This is a picture of one of Mama’s tomatoes. We’ve been picking the small orange tomatoes off the vine for weeks. I can’t imagine a day without getting to eat one! Great job keeping the vines alive, Mama! I hope everyone’s holiday weekend is as juicy as these tomatoes! See you next week!

I’m a Good Neighbor of Middleton, Wisconsin!

pic 1

This weekend I attended the Middleton Good Neighbor Festival. Friday night we saw a parade with fire trucks and lots and lots of kids riding decorated bicycles and tricycles.

pic 1

AND to our surprise we saw our friend, Sophie, and her Mama, Jill, walking in the parade!

pic 1

I also rode some of the carnival rides with Kyle…

pic 1

and Katie, Maddie and Hayden!

pic 1

I even asked to ride the mini-dragon-roller-coaster…

pic 1

but once we got moving I wasn’t so sure about the ride (although when I got off I said I loved it!).

pic 1

Kyle and I also rode the “umbrella cars”…although he preferred la moto…

pic 1

and I was starting to wonder about all of those carnival stories you hear!

pic 1

I also went on the monkey ride with Papa—I think it was my favorite.

pic 1

All in all…I’d say the festival was a happenin’ place…I think I’m ready for bed!

pic 1

This past week we also celebrated Aunt Robyn’s birthday. We made confetti cupcakes with orange frosting… and I had a hard time waiting for her to arrive.

pic 1

Any day now…

pic 1

Ah ha! Here she is at last. We sang Happy Birthday and blew out candles…

pic 1

Aunt Robyn had to help me with mine. I think she had the best birthday ever!

pic 1

Shhh……don’t tell anyone, but I think HALLOWEEN is coming!!! I’m SURE you can’t guess what I might be….! I hope everyone has a great end to their August. I’m excited about September as that means one step closer to you know what……………! Have a great Sunday and we’ll see you next week!

Less Metro Toddler and a LOT More BOY!

Well, now that we’ve got the “theme” ideas out of our system…we’re ready to move on. Although I can say it was great to see so many comments! Good to know that you’re all still coming back for more!

pic 1

I got a surprise box in the mail from Uncle Nathan and Cousin Aby this past week. Check out this rocket ship!

pic 1

Mama only got this picture because she grabbed the camera for the picture above. What’s really funny and must be mentioned–this is totally an Uncle Nathan idea. It’s up to you to decide whether or not I’m about to sit or fart on the red blob to make the rocket go. :) hee hee

pic 1
There are no more words…really.

pic 1
This past Thursday I went with my friends, Maddie and Hayden to the Madison Children’s Museum. I don’t know if Maddie is much of a dancing queen, but she is definitely a shopping queen!

The next set of pictures should be viewed consecutively and as fast as you can move your mouse knob or arrow keys! I agree with you Aunt Tammy…Mama is losing some marbles. She suggested I be the passenger in a car with Hayden. He’s not even 2 yet!!!

pic 1

pic 1

pic 1

pic 1

He is a really cute driver though…I’ll give him that!

pic 1

Today was also Maddie’s 3rd birthday. Clearly, we weren’t really excited about anything.

pic 1

I do have some sad news to report…my soccer practice sessions have ended for the summer…

pic 1

but I do think my skills have greatly improved…and I might even be ready to go pro. What do you think?
Have a great week everybody!!!

NOLAN-ISMS

I’m not sure I’ve mentioned this, but lately I really enjoy telling Mama that she is too complicated. For some reason she just turns and stares. Must be an adult thing.

How To Make Spaghetti – by Nolan Senecal

-Fill your stockpot with water.
-Splash your hands around in the water.
-Set it on the stove and have Mama turn the heat on.
-Pull the spaghetti out of the cabinet and set it on the counter.
-Have Mama cut the package’s top off and set it back onto the counter.
-Wait and watch closely…for that one moment in which Mama might look away—then pickup and dump the uncooked spaghetti noodles all over the counter, chair you are standing on and the floor.
-Laugh when Mama looks surprised.
-Offer to help pick up the noodles; which in toddler world means break the noodles into a million little pieces and drop them back onto the floor.
-Listen to Mama ramble something about a five second rule as she tries to pick up all of the noodle pieces and drops them into the pot.
-Watch the water bubble and the pasta sink under the water.
-Hop down and offer to grab the pasta sauce out of the fridge.
-Grab the pasta sauce container (tupperware) only by the lid and bare witness to a very red and messy explosion.
-Luckily, there is still enough sauce in the container for dinner
-Clean up the pasta sauce that went all over the fridge and the floor and don’t forget to give the spaghetti a stir.
-See the pasta sauce sitting on the kitchen counter and pretend to wash your hands in it. Uhm, is this going to stain?
-Wash your hands with soap and water (for the 3rd or 4th time) and stir the pasta one more time.
-Have Mama heat the pasta sauce.
-Rinse the pasta using a colander (and lightly touch the pot to make sure it really is hot).
-Put the spaghetti on your plate, lightly coat with tomato sauce and then sprinkle with cheddar and/or shredded parmesan.

Voila! dinner is served.

Future Pop Star!

pic 1

Yep, I too have fallen into Jonas Brothers obsession. In fact, I think I am very well equipped to be the 4th Jonas Brother. If you aren’t sure who I am talking about…check out their website: www.myspace.com/jonasbrothers

pic 1

What do you think of my stage costume?

pic 1

I may have copied Joe a little bit too much (he is my favorite), but a band needs to have a certain amount of matching anyway!

In case you aren’t sure that I can make the cut…I’m going to spend the rest of this post trying to convince you.

pic 1

I could play guitar–either lead or backup…

pic 1

I could get the crowd going with my impeccable clapping skills…

pic 1

I could help choreograph the dance routines for backup dancers…

pic 1

and/or sing backup vocals!

pic 1

I could make sure the roadies always keep the stage as clean as possible…

pic 1
and help tune the guitars (or maybe put together my own guitar solo)…

pic 1

and last, but not least, I could help complete the microphone checks (and maybe even sing lead vocals)! So, are you convinced yet? Well, if you still aren’t sure maybe the video below will seal the deal! I hope you have a ROCKIN’ week!

(ps. By NO means do The Jonas Brothers eliminate the magnitude of KISS…but I can just say that for right now I seem to have more of a Jonas Brothers type wardrobe!)

WARNING: The following video may cause you to laugh hysterically and/or may cause you to stare blankly at your monitor. Either way, enjoy!
