I got a HUGE surprise box from Uncle-ish-Scott. At first, I thought it was a giant box of packing peanuts, which are so much fun to play with. But then Mama told me there was something inside the peanuts.
AWESOME!!!
I can now build an extra-sophisticated runway!
And don’t fret Uncle-ish-Scott…Mama and I checked off every item on our tally card!
The weather has definitely been interesting around here. Snow to sun to rain to sun to snow?
It doesn’t matter to me…just as long as I can keep coming outside to play!

I went to my first every painting birthday party for my friend, Sophie. (She was one of the pink ladies at my birthday party.) We even got our very own ‘painting’ shirts that had our names on the back.
I jammed on the guitar for the birthday girl…but all she wanted to do was kiss and hug me.

We took turns going down the slide and calling out for each other…enough to drive any sane person insane…
and then it turned colder…that’s where it ends…
Well, not completely! A day at the zoo with a friend and ice cream…well, it can’t get much better than that! Have a great week everybody!
We stopped at a chocolate factory in Baraboo, WI. I picked out a vanilla caramel treat and tried to share some with a cow. He wasn’t very interested.
Wow…look at the great view! Duluth, MN is just over that hill…
and Lake Superior of course! (hmmm…how did Mama get these pictures???)
Too bad I missed all of that! (I think Mama was thankful I fell asleep.)
Over the course of the week I was able to see lots of boats coming and going from the harbor…
I even tried to steer one inside the aquarium…but I didn’t get very far.
I did, however, get to see my very first Seahorse at the new Seahorse exhibit inside the aquarium. That was awesome!
We also tried to walk along Lake Superior…
but it was extremely windy (and cold) on that day!
Yes…that is a surfer! There’s only one word that describes him…C-R-A-Z-Y!!

We also visited more churches in a few days than I had seen so far in my life! Some of them were fun and some of them just made me crazy.
We also experienced freezing rain, which I wouldn’t mind never experiencing again.
I think I got several cricks in my neck because I was looking up so much of the time. The center of this bridge raises and lowers to allow boats to pass through. PS. Boats might be noisy!
We also went to Duluth’s children museum–and you won’t believe it, but they had an Arthur exhibit! He’s my favorite!!!
They also had a construction exhibit with dress-up clothes. I made Mama wear a hard hat too!
They also had a large train museum connected to the children’s museum. It was a giant warehouse that had rows of real train locomotives & passenger and cargo cars. Some of them were even set up so that you could climb inside to see what it would be like to drive one! All Aboard!
I was moving so fast (and on pure adrenaline) that Mama could only get shots of my spirit! Creepy!!!
Last but not least…I had to try on Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Sam’s shoes. I’m sure you can guess which ones were enormous and which ones fit even better than Mamas!!!
Somehow…I mysteriously woke up less than 10 minutes from that chocolate factory on our trip back to Wisconsin…so of course we had to stop again. I told Mama this couldn’t be the same place…there was snow on the ground and I was sure that when we left WI it was Spring already!!! Well, I hope you all had a great trip with me. Have a great week. First things first. Winter has been so long this year I think I’m starting to get just a little Wacky! Yes, Mama has already informed me that this picture is going to be tagged and shown to any future prom date. (Note: NO, the giraffe rain boots are not on the wrong feet!)
I am happy to report that after toppling over 100 inches of snow for the Dane County Wisconsin area it looks like we are finally going to see our grass again. (It’s been missing since before Thanksgiving!)
That also means that a sunny and 45 degree day makes me want to jump and chalk up the driveway…

ride…
smell the “blueberries”…
swing…
and frolic…
until it rains (or snows) again. Wait! I think I hear a very loud noise in the distance…
It’s a train! Mama and I followed the train as long as we could with the windows down(…until I told her the horn was too loud that is)!
I am also very happy to announce that I have officially graduated up to a Level I swim class. (No more of this parent-child business!) Level I means that Mama no longer holds me the whole time, I have to listen to a teacher and alternate time in the pool with 2 other kids. Hmm…despite the new Level I status…I still cannot see myself in the locker room mirrors!
