Feliz Navidad – Joyeux Noel – Merry Christmas!

Mama has been working on a Christmas post pretty much since Christmas Eve, but can’t seem to get it finished. So, instead of continuously making everyone wait…she decided to post the pictures with minimal captions. Think of it as a Charlie Chaplin film!

PS. If you come up with any good ones…let us know! :)

pic 1 pic 1 Kyle and I decided to sit and watch for a bit. P.S. That is both Heather and Eric on that sled…hence the extra leg. Somehow Eric got lost behind his 7 month pregnant wife!!!

pic 1 pic 1 What crazy kid do you know that would totally put treats on a gingerbread house instead of just eating them out of the bowls?

pic 1 Yes, that’s ice!

pic 1 pic 1 pic 1 Where’s the chef’s hat?

pic 1 Did someone say dishes?

pic 1 pic 1 pic 1 pic 1 I’m never taking this hat off of my head!

pic 1 pic 1 pic 1 Thank you Grandma Lily and Grandpa Bill!

pic 1 pic 1 With the way Mama’s been cooking lately…and the frequency of the smoke alarm beeping…I’ve decided to start practicing my stop-drop-& roll!!! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Have a great week!

Lots of SNOW Helps Mama’s Recovery!

pic 1 Did I mention that Mama loves snow? Yes, the leaves in the picture show that Grand’Mary came to play with me!

pic 1 We took Grand’Mary to Olbrich’s holiday train show.

pic 1 It was awesome! There were trains whistling and moving everywhere!

pic 1 I couldn’t decide where to look first!

pic 1 Papa and I really liked the silver one. It was a passenger train and was traveling very fast.

pic 1 So far, for the month of December, we’ve gotten 26 inches of snow!

pic 1 Most of the snow has either been frozen and hard or dry and fluffy. But Mama and I tried to make a snowman anyway. We even used a pumpkin for it’s head!

pic 1 Mama & Papa have spent a lot of time shoveling and clearing the snow these last couple of weeks…

pic 1 and to my surprise they had a few tricks up their sleeves too! Papa showed off like a professional snowboarder…

pic 1 and I think Mama’s ready to upgrade to the Olympic Luge races! What do you think?

pic 1 To celebrate the snow…Mama, Grand’Mary and I all went to TCBY and I had my first ice cream cone EVER! It was awesome!

pic 1 Mama and I took Grand’Mary to the Keva Sports Centre and showed her my latest tricks.

pic 1 Look Ma, no hands!

pic 1 I had lots of fun pretending to be Santa Claus. I even brought Grand’Mary house shoes that looked exactly like her house shoes!

pic 1 Aunt Robyn came over on Monday night…and this is what I make her do every week!

pic 1 All in all we had a great couple of weeks. I was sad to see Grand’Mary go, but Mama seems to be getting back to normal too! So I’m off…with everything I need in my backpack. Well, everything but my computer. Have a great week!

A Little Bit of This…A Little Bit of That!

pic 1 See…here in Wisconsin…we still play outside no matter the temperature! Mama and I pulled out the chalk for a few rounds of hopscotch. Would you like to join us?

pic 1 Hurry Scurry had a worry
No one liked his chicken curry…

pic 1 So…I turned in my piggy bank coins to get a new toy…and what I decided I wanted was a guitar like Papa’s. What I didn’t realize is that I busted the Christmas present Papa had already bought for me. So… that means I got to open a Christmas present early!

pic 1 I’ve been practicing my guitarist face expressions…

pic 1 and my irresistable charm, of course!

pic 1 I’ve also been learning some chords from Papa…I can’t wait ’til I can play my own version of Stairway to Heaven! That song is timeless!

pic 1 These special super hero glasses make me look invisible…

pic 1 can’t you tell?

pic 1 Mama, Papa and I visited the Rotunda Stage again…this time to see a famous storyteller/magician.

pic 1 You wouldn’t believe all of the tricks he did with just a black top hat! He was hilarious!

pic 1 When we came outside there was already an inch of snow covering everything…(the beginning of a crazy winter storm that lasted the whole day and night!)

Nolan Tidbits

FOOD: I love cheese. I like bleu cheese, gorgonzola cheese, dubliner cheese, colby jack and cheddar type cheeses, I love swiss cheese and of course string cheese…someday I am going to turn into a piece of cheese!

MUSIC: I love to march and make up my own beats. My favorite one right now was influenced by The Music Man: bum, bum, bum-bum-bum…bum, bum, bum-bum-bum… I also love this band called The Figureheads. They are called kiddo hip-hop.

GENERAL: I am clever. If someone says “No” about something I make sure to ask anyone else in the room too…just in case of course. Everytime Mama takes one of her pills, I want one of my chewable vitamins too. If you ask me what I am going to put in my backpack when I go to school I will say: “pencils, paper & a computer”. (I came up with that all on my own.)
